About Me

I am a 20 year old advertising student at the University of Oregon. I am originally from Ahwatukee, a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona where everything is sand colored. This is where you are probably wondering why I willingly chose to move to rainy Eugene from sunny Arizona. Answer: I threw a dart at a map! No, not really. I just wanted a change, and I am fond of the Pacific Northwest. The reason I didn’t run away screaming back to Arizona is that I found in Eugene a school that essentially teaches creativity, which is pretty awesome. I am still trying to figure out all this advertising career stuff, but as of right now I have my sights set on account/project management. 

This blog is a place for me to be creative and examine why the things I think are interesting are...well, interesting. 

I like to fancy myself something of a connoisseur of the finer things.
Random Facts
  • I once fell in to a garden of cacti (did I mention I’m from Arizona?).
  • I have one sister who makes jewelry. 
  • My mother and father are from Barbados.
  • I have taken French for almost 5 years. I can’t speak French.
  • I lived in Costa Rica for about 1 1/2 years. I can’t speak Spanish.
  • I volunteer with SMART (Start Making a Reader Today), where I read to children.
  • I love dance, and I am also obsessed with So You Think You Can Dance to an unhealthy extent (I’ve even been to a live taping).
  • I once saw Anne Hathaway at a movie premier in a mall (probably not a very successful movie). 
  • I wish my life was directed by Wes Anderson.
  • I had perfect attendance my sophomore year in high school, which I am pretty sure will get me a job.

  • Reading funny TV recaps.
  • Traveling- I have been to Barbados, Canada, Australia, Germany, Prague, London, Mexico, Costa Rica, as well as several other US states.
  • My favorite movie is Clueless.
